Howard Park hasn’t even been built yet, but it’s already iconic. A striking counterpoint of industrial and organic, urban and natural, its carved angles will rise above Roncesvalles Village like a lush green hill of stepped terraces and vine-covered walls. Inspired by the famed Mountain Dwellings in Copenhagen, Howard Park stands eight storeys above the street, offering 81 modern, sustainable residences with oversized terraces and private gardens in the sky. The building incorporates a range of residences, well proportioned interiors and large penthouses with expansive terraces.
Angled, sculptural and sleek, Howard Park also has a unique softness imparted by the vegetation that grows on each of its stepped metal terraces. At ground level, residents are beckoned into a large landscaped courtyard with a contemporary edge. The base of the building is constructed with a striking charcoal brick, with expanses of glass angling in and out to form an elegant chic street facade. At the sixth storey, a mountain begins. Bold metal cladding and staggered terraces evoke the look of a stepped hillside with lush landscaping at every level; the textured metal allows vines to grow over it and create an organic “wall” of foliage. Sloping gently up, the building creates a soft swath of green.
